Each year our employees amaze us with their giving spirits and readiness to work together to support the organizations that Davis & Green sponsors. In 2016 and 2017, our annual Tug-of-War Championship benefitting The Doorways raised over $15,000.00 and grew from an internal competition to a multi-organizational competition with over 10 participating local businesses.
In 2017, we became a sponsor of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s annual Light the Night event and our dedicated employees raised over $5,000.00 and had more than 20 participants at the event.
We have proudly partnered with Special Olympics Virginia since 2014, supporting their mission through both sponsorship and hands-on involvement. Our team actively participates in the annual Polar Plunge, a powerful fundraising event that brings the community together to support athletes with intellectual disabilities. Through this partnership, we have also seen firsthand how these programs change lives. Stories like Nathon’s journey highlight the lasting impact of community support and the importance of giving back.
Many of our employees and their children continue to volunteer year after year at the Summer Games, helping participants and cheering them on at events such as Bocce Ball and the Pentathlon.
In addition to raising money and awareness at an employee level, Davis & Green also sponsors other local organizations, such as the American Cancer Society’s Cattle Baron’s Ball and VCU Massey Cancer Center and Vessels of Mercy International.
